GreenLine Introduces LNG Trucks for Merino Logistics Operations

Merino Logistics teamed up with Essar’s GreenLine Mobility Solutions to institute liquefied natural gas trucks into its fleet as part of a move toward greener logistics. The aim is to drastically reduce the company’s Scope 3 emissions and showcase the shifting commitment toward environmental responsibility.

This is an addition to the green partnership that Merino entered into under its complete sustainability program called Nirmal, a program which, itself, has long come very far in making a huge difference in the company’s environmental impacts. Presently, the company utilizes 75 percent of renewable sources, such as solar power, agro residue, and biogas, to meet its energy requirement. The combined efforts of these processes managed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 95,000 metric tonnes per year.

Marino Industries is making waves as one of the leading manufacturers and marketers of interior solutions for homes, corporate offices, and public spaces. With its introduction of LNG-powered trucks, the company is adopting new sustainable business practices that must serve as very important benchmarks. The company will further pursue emissions eradication through its decarbonization strategy.

Green Line Mobility Solutions has rich experience in the green transport sector and boasts a vast fleet of LNG-powered heavy commercial vehicles, functional for a large number of industries. These trucks deliver the prominent environmental benefit of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30 percent compared to the conventional diesel vehicle fleet. GreenLine has thus far eliminated around 7825 tonnes of carbon emissions cumulatively from a myriad of industries like FMCG, e-commerce, automotive, cement, steel, and chemicals.

Prakash Lohia, MD of Merino Logistics, declared that this is a strategic move. The partnership “is the defining point of our sustainability journey in adopting LNG-powered trucks-not only in alignment with our visions of a greener future but also setting the benchmark for responsible logistics,” he added.

This collaboration with Merino Logistics is pioneering in the entire laminate industry Mimani told reporters. We are now moving towards reducing emissions and promoting green practices across the industry as a whole.

Merino Logistics and GreenLine Mobility Solutions get together to find proactive solutions against climate change. Self-efficient co-development of innovative and low-carbon transportation solutions reduces both companies’ environmental footprint without fear of prompting similar actions from the other.

As industries across the globe seek to reduce their carbon footprint, this partnership became a good example of how organizations could come together to drive sizeable changes without affecting the operational efficiency of firms.
