NHAI, IHMCL Signs MoU with TruckSuvidha for Highway Safety Drive

New Delhi, 10 March 2026 – On 10 March 2026, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), through its subsidiary Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with leading commercial vehicle aggregator platforms, including TruckSuvidha – Sarvodaya Infotech Pvt. Ltd. and others, to strengthen highway safety, efficiency, and participative governance across India’s national highway network.
A Partnership for Safer Roads
The signing ceremony took place at the NHAI Headquarters in New Delhi, in the presence of Shri Santosh Kumar Yadav (Chairman, NHAI)

and Shri Vishal Chauhan (Chairman & Managing Director, IHMCL), along with senior officials and representatives from all signatory platforms.
Commercial vehicle aggregator platforms were part of the agreement:
- TruckSuvidha – Sarvodaya Infotech Pvt. Ltd.
- LoadsoR – Saffron Navigators Pvt. Ltd.
What the MoU Aims to Achieve
This collaboration focuses on bringing technology-enabled safety and reporting features to commercial truck drivers and fleet operators on national highways. Key initiatives include:
Rajmargyatra App Integration
The aggregator platforms will integrate the official Rajmargyatra App into their systems, allowing:
- Real-time safety alerts about accident spots, diversions, weather warnings, and stray cattle.
- In-app notifications to help drivers navigate risks more effectively.
Driver-Led Reporting Mechanism
Through the Jan Bhagidari – Driver-Led Reporting initiative, drivers can:
- Report geo-tagged highway issues (e.g., potholes, broken barriers, non-functional streetlights).
- Submit feedback directly into a centralised system for resolution.
Emergency Helpline (Call 1033) Integration
A dedicated Call 1033 helpline button will be integrated into aggregator apps, enabling:
- One-click access to emergency services.
- Geo-location sharing for faster ambulance dispatch.
- Nearest hospital information in cases of accidents.
Encouraging Responsible Driving
The MoU also emphasises promoting safer driving behaviour through:
- Awareness content on reducing overspeeding, maintaining lanes, and avoiding unsafe maneuvers.
- The ‘Vishisht Saarthi’ recognition programme, which honours commercial drivers who consistently follow safety norms with digital badges and certificates.
Under this initiative, drivers will be able to provide structured feedback on:
- Toll plaza operations (wait times, pricing, lane efficiency).
- Wayside amenities (hygiene and service quality).
- FASTag-related issues (incorrect charges, transaction delays).
What This Means for the Transport Community
With platforms like TruckSuvidha participating in the initiative, truck drivers and fleet operators can benefit from improved access to safety alerts, emergency assistance, and highway updates. This collaboration highlights how digital logistics platforms can contribute to safer and more efficient transportation networks.
TruckSuvidha’s Role in the Digital Logistics Ecosystem
TruckSuvidha is a digital logistics platform that connects truck owners, transporters, and businesses across India. The platform aims to simplify freight transportation by offering technology-based tools that improve transparency, safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Features of the TruckSuvidha App
Real-Time Truck and Load Booking
TruckSuvidha enables users to find available trucks and loads quickly through its digital platform. This helps transporters and truck owners reduce empty trips and manage freight movement more efficiently.
Vehicle Verification
The platform provides vehicle verification services that allow users to check important vehicle details before assigning a load. This helps improve transparency and build trust in transportation operations.
Vehicle Tracking
TruckSuvidha provides vehicle tracking solutions that help transporters and fleet owners monitor truck movement during transit. The platform offers two types of tracking systems:
Mobile Number-Based Tracking
Mobile number-based tracking allows users to track a vehicle using the driver’s mobile phone number, without the need for a GPS device.
Toll-Based Tracking
Toll-based tracking is a simple tracking service that shows a vehicle’s movement using toll plaza crossing data across highways.
Driver Verification
TruckSuvidha also provides driver verification services, allowing transporters to verify driver details before assigning trips. This supports safer and more reliable transportation operations.
Moving Towards Safer and Smarter Highways
The collaboration between the National Highways Authority of India and digital logistics platforms represents an important step toward improving highway safety and communication with the trucking community. By integrating safety alerts, emergency support, and driver feedback systems, the initiative aims to create a safer and more efficient environment for commercial vehicle operators across India.
With platforms like TruckSuvidha supporting this initiative, truck drivers and transporters can gain better access to digital tools and real-time information that help improve trip safety and operational efficiency.
