IRF to train commercial vehicles drivers in safety push
The International Road Federation, a Geneva-based global body working for safer roads, will impart training on life-saving techniques to drivers of commercial vehicles.
The idea is to provide enhanced first aid and trauma care to accident victims. “The drivers of commercial vehicles often witness accidents, and with the appropriate training, they can provide enhanced first aid and pre-hospital trauma care to accident victims without waiting for the first ambulance,” International Road Federation ( IRF) chairman KK Kapila said in a statement.
