Freight rates up on fresh cargo movements

Delhi to Mysore, Puducherry and Goa freight rates for fresh cargo movement moved up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 70,000, Rs 72,000 and Rs 57,000.

Freight rates for nine-tonne payload section rose by INR 1000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following fresh cargo movements amid less position of trucks in the market.

Transporters said tight availability of trucks and fresh arrivals of cargo pushed up some of centres freight rates. Delhi to Mysore, Puducherry and Goa freight rates moved up by INR 1000 each to INR 70,000, INR 72,000 and INR 57,000.

Rates to Pune, Baroda and Kochi also went up by INR 1000 each to INR 30,000, INR 24,000 and INR 79,000.

Following are today’s freights per 9-tonne load (in INR): Jaipur 16,000, Hyderabad 57,000, Chandigarh 17,000, Vijayawada 59,000, Ludhiana 18,000, Bengaluru 65,000, Kanpur 19,000, Chennai 67,000, Indore 21,000, Mysore 70,000, Ahmedabad 22,000, Puducherry 72,000, Baroda 24,000, Coimbatore 74,000, Patna 26,000, Kochi 79,000, Surat 27,000, Thiruvananthapuram 85,000, Mumbai 28,000, Goa 57,000, Pune 30,000, Gwalior 14,000, Kolkata 31,000, Guwahati 59,000.
