Ashok Leyland bags orders for 3600 buses from various STUs
Domestic market share of Ashok Leyland in trucks increased from 29.2 percent in Q1 last year to 30.1 percent in the Q1 of current year.
Indian commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland has bagged orders for nearly 3600 buses from various State Transport Unions (STUs) in the current financial year.
Domestic market share of Ashok Leyland in trucks increased from 29.2 percent in Q1 last year to 30.1 percent in the Q1 of current year. Market share for domestic buses has increased from 33.2 percent in Q1 last year to 35.9 percent in Q1 of current year. Overall, M&HCVs volumes of Ashok Leyland have increased by 18.6 percent as compared to industry growth of 14.5 percent.
Vinod K Dasari, Managing Director, Ashok Leyland said, “We continue to maintain growth in the domestic M&HCV market and believe that the industry should post 15% to 20% growth in the current financial year. Ashok Leyland will continue to expand its network, launch new products, and introduce customer centric initiatives which would help it to maintain its lead. The focus on exports, defence, and aftermarket continue.”
