The Andhra Pradesh Government has allotted 89.35 acres of land to CONCOR on lease for 60 years at INR 100 an acre per annum, adjacent to Kakinada Port. The project is expected to generate 120 direct and about 2,000 indirect jobs.

The multi-model park is aimed at serving as a Container Freight Station to cater to the export of containerised cargo, through the Kakinada Port.

The logistics park will see the development of infrastructure, including rail sidings for handling railway racks, creation of custom bonded warehouses, domestic warehouses, fully paved container stack yards, container cargo handling equipment, and a customer facilitation centre.

The vacant land parallel to the track between Kakinada Port railway station and Kakinada Port take-off point, as well as the land reclaimed between the proposed Berth 7 of deep water port and beach road, has been allotted.

Ajay Jain, Secretary, State Industries, Infrastructure and Energy, has directed the Director of Ports, to make necessary arrangement and allot the land which would facilitate the setting of the logistics park.
