Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section declined by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following heavy availability of trucks amid restricted cargo movements.

Transporters said easy position of trucks amid restricted cargo movements, mainly pulled down freight rates for select destinations.

Delhi to Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Goa and Pune freight rates moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 57,000, Rs 60,000, Rs 59,000 and Rs 30,000.

Rates to Mumbai, Surat, Chennai and Kochi also went down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 29,000, Rs 27,000, Rs 65,000 and Rs 77,000.
